Air Show

The Blue Angels air show came to our town this year.  So, we decided to go to it,  So glad we did.  It was AMAZING!  So exciting and memorable.  Here are a few pictures from our day.

Hayley loves her Grandpa!  What a fun day!

St. Patricks Day

This was our quick breakfast before going to the Air Show.  We also had a visitor that night...a Leprechaun. :)  I love Pinterest.

The gift of Spring

Here are a few pictures I took this spring around our yard.   LOVE this time of year.  I love to see the earths rebirth and enjoy all the beauties that surround me.  It also means I've made it through another winter and get to enjoy the spring and summer months which are some of my most favorite months of the year.  I feel the beauties of the earth are gifts from our Heavenly Father and it's up to us to take the time to enjoy those simple gifts.

"My Heavenly Father Loves Me"
Whenever I hear the song of a bird
Or look at the blue, blue sky,
Whenever I feel the rain on my face
Or the wind as it rushes by,
Whenever I touch a velvet rose
Or walk by a lilac tree,
I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world
Heavenly Father created for me.
He gave me my eyes that I might see
The color of butterfly wings.
He gave me my ears that I might hear
The magical sound of things.
He gave me my life, my mind, my heart:
I thank him reverently
For all his creations, of which I'm a part.
Yes, I know Heavenly Father loves me.

One of my most favorite primary songs.  It speaks truth to my heart!

Our garden this year.  We planted it as a family work project.  There were moments of whining and not talking as nice to each other as we should have but we did it together and we created a memory.  Not that it was the best memory in the world but we created a memory.  The highlight for me was having our Wyatt moment as a butterfly flew through the garden and around us.  When these moments happen we will say to each other "Wyatt is saying hi."  I have no doubt Wyatt was letting us know he is aware of us and is with us when we do things together as a family.

Each year as I see these blossoms bloom I realize how far I have come.  I remember right after Wyatt died they were out in bloom and I thought I would never feel joy again in seeing those things that I loved to see before.  Time has healed that for me.  I find great joy in seeing these beautiful blossoms. Grateful for the hope and joy they bring to me.

Tea Party

This Spring Break we stayed in town and didn't go anywhere.  One of the things the girls wanted to do during our week spring break was to have a tea party together.  It was fun.  I had the girls do all the decorating and I think they did a great job.  It was fun to watch them use their creativity.  Since it was also Wyatt's angel day during that week they added butterflies to the decor.  It did my heart good to see all they did.  Here is some of the yummy food and pictures we took at our tea party.

Butterflies hanging from the chandelier.
We had one of our cousins with us for the tea party.

Wyatt's angel day 2012

We released butterflies like we do each year for Wyatt's angel day.  This year we did it at the cemetery and the blossoms were out in full bloom and absolutely beautiful.  We had 3 butterflies to release and each of them flew to the same white blossoming tree.  It was fun to be able to get some pictures of them in the beautiful white blossoms.  Love the color white and the symbolism of it. We went back 2 days later and they were flying around the cemetery.   One of my dear friends came with her daughter to watch the butterfly release which made it that much more special.  We also had my parents there with us too which is always a treat.

We started the morning off with a breakfast picnic at his grave.  That is what the kids wanted to do.  After the butterfly release we went to lunch with my parents. We then spent the rest of the day doing things together as a family.  Love it when we can spend time doing fun things together.  That night I watched Wyatt's video by myself and got the emotions out.  That doesn't seem to get any easier for me.  It makes my arms ache to hold him and the desire to kiss his cute little face more intense.  I often imagine in my mind the day when I get to hold him again and what a wonderful and amazing day that will be.  The ache I feel now will be gone forever.

It was so nice to have his bench there this year. What a tender mercy.
